Health & Safety
Health and safety tops our list of priorities at camp. Led by an experienced team of nursing professionals, it is our belief that our “on site” health centre, referred to as Robin Aid, is the best way to ensure the well being of our campers and staff. Robin Aid will administer daily medications to our campers if necessary and are always ready to provide care for those that are in need of that extra bit of “TLC” when required.
Our Robin Aid team provides health teaching to our campers with our entire staff receiving valuable training prior to camp on the specific health concerns of our campers and how to respond to them. We have also developed an extensive crisis response plan that can be implemented quickly should an emergency situation occur at Robin Hood.
We are pleased to have the Markham-Stouffville Hospital (on the 9th Line) available to us. Our camp doctors Tom and Larry Bacher are always on call.
