What is included in the RHLC fees?

Our fees include the full gamut of program activities selected by your school and facilitated by our Staff. In other words, there are no hidden costs. If you would like to have RHLC provide lunch and/or transportation to and from the site the appropriate fees will be designated. Please call to inquire about pricing.

Do I have to pay for teachers or parents?

Our programs are free of charge for adults that fall within our recommended ratios (1 adult : 15 students). Additional adult supervisors will be charged a nominal fee.

What is the role of the RHLC Staff during our program?

RHLC staff supervise the scheduled activities. They are trained as group facilitators who are able to motivate young people to work effectively together. Their knowledge and experience establishes them as our primary risk managers.

What if some students have dietary restrictions?

Vegetarian, Kosher, and any other dietary considerations can be accommodated when we are given ample notice. Please communicate your needs to us in advance of your program.

What should students bring?

Please be aware that we are an outdoor recreation environment that runs rain or shine! In order to support a team building experience, we ask that students not bring any money or electronic devices (cell phones, ipods). The season will dictate dress but layered clothing and running shoes are recommended. Be aware that our site may be a few degrees colder than city temperature. Students should be encouraged to bring a knapsack to carry their belongings.

What if it rains?

Our programs operate rain or shine! Many of our activities can continue in their pre-existing locations, and others are easily moved into our numerous indoor facilities.

Will the program be safe? What if a student gets hurt?

We have placed health and safety at the top of our priority list. RHLC has an outstanding record of safe operation. We have a staff member trained in first aid who makes use of our Health Centre to ensure the well being of our clients and staff. As well, we are a ten-minute drive from the Markham-Stouffville Hospital.
