For more than 60 years, Robin Hood families have come to rely on our commitment to a safe, efficient and fun bus experience. It all started with Larry Bell, who, over the course of his camp career, became a leader, North America-wide, for the systems he created to provide great transportation services to and from camp each day.
We’ve just always felt that the impression we are making on our families – most importantly your kids! – begins as soon as that bus pulls up in the morning. And we’ve learned that a sense of organization and calm are two important feelings that set campers up for a successful day. That’s why we are excited to announce a major update to our Mobile App, LARRY: A Legendary Approach to Reliable Routing for Youth!
WHAT DOES IT DO?
- The location of the bus
- The distance of the bus
- The estimated time of the journey
- The number of stops
- The estimated time of arrival
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Tracking
Use the ‘Tracking’ tab to track your camper’s bus on the way to your house in the morning for pick-up, and the afternoon for drop-off.
- As soon as your camper’s bus is on the move, the map will activate and show the location of the bus on its way to your house.
- If the bus is delayed for any reason, your camper’s estimated pick-up time will be updated with a new, approximate time.
- Once your camper is picked up, the map will be deactivated until it’s time for their trip home from camp.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS FOR PARENT/GUARDIANS
Q: Why am I not receiving notifications?
- Please ensure that you have logged into the LARRY app before Camp starts to ensure that you are receiving notifications.
- If you are still not receiving notifications, please navigate to Settings > Notifications > LARRY and ensure that ‘Allow Notifications’ is toggled ‘On’.
Q: The Map isn’t showing, but I’m getting a ‘This bus’s location is unavailable to track right now, but your bus is still on the way!’ message. What does this mean?
- If you receive this message, we have lost our direct connection to the bus temporarily. Rest assured that your camper’s bus is still on the way, so please ensure your ready for pick-up or drop-off.
Q: The Map isn’t showing, but I’m getting a ‘Tracking not currently available. Tracking will resume here when we connect with your camper(s) bus on its journeys to and from camp!’ message. What does this mean?
- This means that camp is not currently in session, i.e. it’s the weekend or after hours. Check back in when your camper is preparing to head to or from camp.
