Highlights of the Week:

1. For Hobby Hubs we had a high 5 scavenger hunt!
2. On Thursday we had a game show themed overnight
3. Senior Flagpole we did an amazing talent and a great cheer

We Learned:

• From our lunch with the younger campers in the munchies unit the inter girls learned to be a good role model and leader for the little ones

Looking Forward to:

Next week we are looking forward to senior flagpole to try our hand at moving up in points towards the cup of love

Highlights of the Week:

1. Learned the Camp Dance at Dance
2. Showed off our talents during our Leppies Talent Show, which helped us get a point towards the Cup of Hugs at Junior Flagpole.
3. Making S’mores at Camp Craft

We Learned:

• Teamwork at Sportball
• New swim skills

Looking Forward to:

Competing with our friends during Colour Wars and seeing the spirit from all of the Leppies cabins

Highlights of the Week:

1. S’mores at campcraft
2. Optional In-Camp Overnight was great!
3. Skits with sound effects at Theatre Arts

• Found and photographed different plants at Farming
• Building bridges at Hobby Hubs with popsicle sticks

Colour Wars and winning a few points at Cup of Love!

Highlights of the Week:

1. We had our amazing Time Travel special day! We got back the Time Travel 2000 after visiting the stone age, Ancient Egypt and the Medieval Times
2. We had an amazing time at mini golf! The Junior Boys learned valuable golf skills.
3. We had an awesome camper talent Junior Flagpole.

We Learned:

• Cabin routines
• Teamwork
• At gymnastics we learned how to do a handstand

Looking Forward to:

Seeing all the families at Family Night and the best Colour Wars ever!

Highlights of the Week:

1. Started our placements
2. Had a blast running Cabin Fun periods in our Section placements
3. Had fun taking the lead during speciality periods

We Learned:

• Leadership
• How to take the skills we learned at our Claremont training and apply them at our placements

Looking Forward To:

Our second placement begins and we can’t wait to get started!

Highlights of the Week:

1. We had a special candy land unit extravaganza where we ran through the chocolate river
2. We went to a special nature walk at the very back of camp.
3. Munchies 5 wrote their own song and helped us win points at Junior Flagpole

We Learned:

With a little practice we can learn the camp dance and our unit cheers!

Colour Wars and showing families around camp during Family Night!

1. Disney Special Day
2. Hypnotist show in the unit
3. Candy apples for special day snack

We Learned:

• Campers are getting better at keeping the cabin/unit clean
• Learned to put sunscreen on, even under bathing suit straps

1. The first ever Turn it up Thursday! Our campers got to choose some very different, very special activities to participate in for the day.

We had an absolutely amazing week! Our trip to the Claremont Outdoor Centre, provided an experience where CIT’s (Counsellors In Training) and LIT’s (Leaders In Training) get to bond with one another and gain valuable leadership skills. And while we were working together we developed some great skills to prepare us for our placements around camp. We’re excited to finally put our new skills to use as we begin our first placement on Monday. The strong connections we made with one another are sure to make this a great summer!
