Meet The Directors

A Family Tradition

Camp Robin Hood had its start in Sherwood Park in 1946. Our family involvement began in 1961 when Larry & Pearl Bell took on the leadership of Camp Robin Hood.

Since 2005, Larry & Pearl’s daughter Sari and her husband Howie Grossinger have taken on the directorship of camp. Today, third generation involvement by Sari & Howie’s older children Jordanna and Cole pave the way for the next chapter of family leadership.

Sari and Howie Grossinger

Sending your child to summer camp is no small decision. (Trust us—we know.) Together, Sari and Howie Grossinger have spent 50 (combined) years investing their love and know-how straight to Camp Robin Hood’s core. Married for 25 years and the parents of 3 children, (22 year-old Jordanna ( member of our Senior Staff), 20 year-old Cole (A lead instructor at our Sports Academy), and 16 year-old Zane (beginning his camp staff experience), they know the importance of creating safe places for positive growth, independence, and boatloads of fun.

The individual connection that Howie and Sari give to each camper and staff is incredible. No stone is left unturned and every process has meaning and purpose.

Our Leadership Team

To make camp THIS great, our family can’t do it alone! We are lucky enough to have a group of people so dedicated to what we do, that they work with us throughout the year (many of them have other jobs). We call this group the Leadership Team and we truly consider them part of our extended family. You’ll meet the whole team soon, but here’s an introduction to a few of these great people:

The Best People Create Something Pretty Amazing

Our Camp Spirit is like nothing you have ever experienced and it is built and fostered directly by our dedicated staff. Bus rides, cabin fun, special days and camp-wide events all provide our staff the opportunity to bring energy, creativity and real connection to the relationships they build with our campers. From carefully planned programs to spontaneous activities which campers love, the spirit at Robin Hood is non-stop, making each summer beyond memorable.
