Our Mission: From Independence to Impact. Founded in 1946 as Canada’s first private day camp, our mission began with a simple goal: fostering independence in the outdoors. Today, as we celebrate our 80th Anniversary, that mission has matured into our North Star: Building Better People. Guided by three generations of family leadership, we use the magic of camp to teach the resilience, empathy, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
Families continue to trust Camp Robin Hood to deliver a safe, spirited, and unforgettable camp experience for their children. Our efforts to deliver personalized attention and engaged leadership ensures every camper feels at home. Camp Robin Hood is hands down the best camp that you will find in the GTA! The staff are outstanding and it is a true camp experience in a country setting. Day Camp Programs Tailored to Every Child
Since the beginning of our summer camp for kids, we have been one thousand percent committed to every child’s well being. We love that no two campers are alike and that everyone has their own special set of likes and dislikes, strengths and challenges.
After 75 years, we know campers and we promise to take the time to get to know your child and you. In fact, we want you to know that we work hard to foster your child’s independence and emotional growth in a fun, outdoor and high-spirited camp for kids.
After all, this is our specialty!
Outstanding Leadership & Staff
Camp Robin Hood is a family-run business, many of our counsellors are past campers of Robin Hood, growing into new roles and really making a difference in the life of your child. With many teachers in leadership roles, we pride ourselves (and pinky promise) that our entire staff is trained to a T so they have leadership skills, understanding of group dynamics, empathy and the tools to provide an outstanding cabin experience for your child. Our program is divided by age into “Units” so that a senior leader or “Unit Head” not only gets to know your child well but also supervises the counsellors who work closest with your camper. The hallmark of our supervision model is the presence of a “Division Head”. This experienced member of our Leadership Team serves as an amazing resource to everyone who works directly with your child and also helps with our commitment to open communication between camp and your home.
