Out of the City and into the Country
At Camp Robin Hood, we believe the best part of summer is the chance to unplug and step into a different world. While many day camps operate out of schools or community centers, we are proud to call 50 rolling acres of private Markham countryside our home.
From the moment our buses pull through the gates, the city disappears. In its place? Towering trees, wide-open green spaces, and a setting that feels like a hidden oasis. It’s a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively. Check out this video to see for yourself.
Why It Feels Like Overnight Camp
Ask any of our campers, and they’ll tell you: Robin Hood doesn’t feel like a day camp. We’ve intentionally preserved the rustic, traditional atmosphere of a classic “sleepaway” camp.
-
Our Signature Wooden Cabins: Instead of classrooms, our campers have their own wooden cabins tucked into the trees. These serve as a “home base” for the group—a place to store gear, change for swim, and bond as a cabin family.
-
The Private Canoe Pond: Nothing says “overnight camp” like the sound of a paddle hitting the water. Our private pond allows campers to experience the serenity of canoeing and paddleboating in a safe, tranquil environment.
-
A Landscape for Adventure: With 50 acres at our disposal, we have the space for high-intensity sports, archery ranges, and quiet, shaded groves for arts and crafts. Whether they are running through cornfields that feel like a movie set or gathering for a camp-wide spirit session, the scale of our campus inspires wonder.
Facilities Designed for Connection
-
Four Heated Outdoor Pools: The heart of our campus, where daily swim instruction meets pure summer fun.
-
Sports Academy: Top-tier baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and a covered ball hockey arena for those who love to play hard.
-
Free-Play Area: A space that allows campers to explore their imagination and creative side.
At Camp Robin Hood, we don’t just provide a summer program; we provide a sense of place. Give your child the gift of the great outdoors and the magic of a traditional camp experience—all while having them home in time for dinner.
